We have been professionally guiding for trophy browns and rainbows on the Owyhee River, since 2003. Located in a high desert canyon, just 50 miles from Boise, Idaho. We fish the Owyhee year round with the exception of Oct. & Nov. when they spawn.
The vast smorgasbord of insects provide the food source for the abundant fish population. Not only are there great numbers of fish, but also great numbers of large fish. The average size of the brown trout are 17-21 inches with a few monsters at 2 feet plus.
Steelhead

Dreams on the Fly has been guiding for steelhead for over 20 years. We guide on the Grande Ronde river Feb-Mar. & again Sept-Nov. We also guide on the Olympic Peninsula March & April (water conditions permitting).
We guide both spey casters and single handers and offer instruction on various aspects of steelhead fishing.
If you have never experienced a smallmouth bass on a fly rod, you are in for a treat. The smallmouth bass in the Grande Ronde & Owyhee Rivers are AGRESSIVE, TOUGH AND ARE HARD FIGHTERS!. This is one fish that can guarantee you loads of summertime fun.
The lower Grande Ronde boast a huge population of smallmouth bass that have voracious appetites! Although minnows and crawfish are their dietary staple, it's not uncommon to have 30-50 fish days on topwater flies such as grasshoppers, poppers and large terrestrials. Our season for trophy smallmouth on a fly is June 1-September 15.
The Owyhee smallmouth fishing is an exceptional fishery, with smaller bass but hundreds more. There is a limited time frame of 4 weeks to catch these smallies, but it will be a fishing trip of a life time!
