College at the University of Idaho led him down the path of steelhead, fishing the famous Clearwater River every chance he could (or shouldn't’ have). Zac met Dave and Rhonda learning to spey-cast under an indicator on the Salmon River.
An expert on the sticks, Zac's ability at getting you down the river, while chasing that elusive steelhead is unsurpassed. His knack & tenacity to put clients on fish is beyond knowledge, it's in his blood.

John lives in Idaho and loves being out in the backcountry. He lives for fly fishing, and his passion is steelhead and salmon, the big game fish of Idaho. "There is nothing like feeling the power of an ariel fight of steelhead".
John fishes and guides with Dreams on the Fly for brown and rainbow trout on some of the most desired waters in the U.S.(brown trout over 25" is not all that unheard of). John has been all over the west and loves seeing new country His newest passion, his 2 year old Grandson!

Doug's going attitude and gift of gab sets clients at ease and also sends them home with a wealth of knowledge! He's fished rivers in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Utah and Alaska. But he always returns to his love, the Owyhee. "The biggest brown's, are in the "O" ."
We can't begin to say how lucky we are to have the following individuals working with us. Each and every one is an excellent instructor, guide, and friend. Each of our guides are fully trained in First Aid, CPR, Backcounty Resource Training, Spey Casting and each has common sense. They all have similar qualities, such as patience, kindness, joy, humor, modesty, and of course each possess infallible fishing skills and techniques.

A Wisconsin transplant at the age of nine; Zac spent his late child hood harassing trout in some of southern Idaho’s best renowned waters. A self proclaimed “fly fishing dork” his easy going demeanor has been a favorite among beginner and expert anglers alike.
After fishing with John and also knowing him from the local fly club in Boise, Dreams on the Fly knew quality when they found him. John's ability to put his anglers at ease, while guiding them is incredible. John's ability with a spey rod, is awesome, and he enjoys helping others perfect the sport.
An Idaho native, Doug's passion for fishing started at a young age bait fishing with his grandparents. His love for fly fishing didn't take off until his early 30's, and boy did it take off! Averaging between 75-100 days on the water for many years, he became well versed on the So. Fork of the Boise and the Owyhee rivers.
As a member and past president of a local fishing club, he keeps well informed on local waters. Doug first met Dave while he still owned a fly shop in Boise and has guided with us on the Owyhee for 4 seasons.
