The Owyhee
Never Fails!
The Owyhee River, our home river, always produces top quality fishing. Not uncommon to catch doubles or even triples, the Owyhee  continually amazes even us. With the cost of International travel skyrocketing, the Owyhee is a great alternative. Touted by many anglers as a Trophy Brown Trout fishery, the "O' is considered to be one of the Blue Ribbon Waters of the West. The Owyhee usually fishes well from April to September, however last year due to high water (snow pack) we didn't begin to fish until July. While the reservoir is at 74% of capacity as of this newsletter, we do expect another delayed start to fishing in 2012. Be sure to get your dates scheduled, as we fill up fast of this river.

Rome to Birch Creek
If you haven't already seen it our 5 day float trips from Rome, Oregon to Birch Creek are fantastic for fishing, photography, technical water and FUN!  We conduct these float trips during a 4 week window in late June & July when all the whitewater enthusiasts are long gone. The fishing is remarkable with a "bass every cast". The photography is some of the most spectacular as touted in the NY Times..."The Owyhee is the Grand Canyon of Oregon". To expereince the Owyhee 5 day float trip you can view a sampling on Vimeo. It's that time of year again, where the fishing has gone from fast and furious to slow and cold. The year wrapped up with some great fishing on the Grande Ronde, spectacular days on the Owyhee and a lot more in between. Summertime Fun
Family Fun for All
Bass fishing on the Ronde are days filled with smallmouth bass, glorious warm water for swimming fun, and  sleeping under the amazing star filled skies. A great adventure with the family or with friends. We conduct our 3 day float trips in late July through August 20th. The bass fishing on the Ronde is awesome, the fish are usually in the 12-18" size and it's common to catch 20-25 a day. A great float for a family & friends reunion! |

Grande Ronde Steelhead Trips
Dave's Purple Rat has been an awesome bling filled fly for swinging on the Ronde. If you are interested in learning how to tie this fly, just like us on  and we'll send you the recipe.
Steelhead fishing on the Grande Ronde was excellent in terms of the numbers of fish, the dry fly fishing was exceptionally good due to the warmer temperatures that maintained throughout most of the month. The larger fish tend to show up in February and push through the river system until the water levels blow out in March, be sure to check out the special below.
Dreams on the Fly is offering a special for the Feb/March steelhead season. $350 per day for one or two anglers 2 day minimum. That's $100 off per day!
